Series Overview

Events in the "Winter Series" range from 5 to 50 kms, with all races having a choice of distance. The series is designed to challenge both new and experienced trail runners.

Aid Station

Of course we've got professional aid crew at the finish, and top-up stops along the way manned by our amazing Woohoo Crew ensuring that you get your water topped up, or special pick me up to continue on the trails!

No Refunds: We can not refund the complete series sign up entry.

Mandatory Gear: Without the gear below you cannot start. If found without it at ANY point you will be disqualified!

1. You must carry a hydration system that will hold a minimum of 500ml for the duration of the event. This could be a handheld, a pack, or a waist belt. We recommend runners carry at least 1ltr. And the Ultra we require 1ltr.
2. You must wear your race bib at all times during the event.

FAQs:

Is there an Aid Station? Will always be approximately halfway into your event. They'll be stocked with water and carbohydrates in the form of fruit and electrolytes (so bring your reusable, collapsible cup!) Depending on race day weather, a additional stations may be provided.

When do I collect my Race Bib? Race bib pickup for this event is on race day only: Start/finish line on race day. 

Will I receive more information? Yes! The week before the event we send out a PRE RACE email. It will include all the specifics to help you be best prepared for the day.

Are there minimum age requirements? 

PTS Kids/Teens/U-18 POLICY

We love to welcome the younger trail runners to our events - they may be a seasoned road runner, trail runner/hiker or they could be brand new to running/walking!

To ensure that all trail runners have a fun, safe time on the trails we do have a minimum age requirement for each of our Courses, and also a minimum experience requirement. They also must carry 500mL water in a hydration system (use a water bottle, pack or belt) while on course.

Green Course - minimum age is 6 years old.

You must have your parent/guardian walking/running beside you for the entirety of the Green Course if under the age of 12 years old.

Blue Course - minimum age is 12 years old.

You must have completed three Green Course events prior to running a Blue course event.

You must be accompanied by your parent/guardian for your first time running the Blue Course.

Black Course - minimum age is 16 years old.

You must have completed three Blue Course events prior to running a Black course event.

You must be accompanied by your parent/guardian for your first time running the Black Course.

Double Black Course - minimum age is 18 years old.

If your younger trail runner meets the minimum age and experience requirement for an event you are welcome to register them into the event.

We also require the parent/guardian to email admin@perthtrailseries.com.au to confirm their event registration.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event? Transport will be covered in the PRE RACE BRIEF which gets email out the week prior to the event.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable? Your ticket is non-transferrable. If you wish to upgrade your distance, you will be charged the difference plus an admin cost of $10. If you wish to downgrade, no refund of entry fees will be provided.

Can I give it to a mate? No. Your ticket, your identity.

Is trail running as fun as it looks? Woohooooo! Great question! It's even more fun!
