Which ones for me? Each event includes 3 distance options: Green, Blue, Black
Green Course – Walk or Run, All about Fun! Distances range from ~4km-6km and usually take up to 75 minutes to complete. A great option if you’re just getting into the trails/running, or coming back after injury/break. Get a mate, get into these and get ready for FUN!
Blue Course – You love running and your friends think you’re fit! You can comfortably run 10km in the city. Distances range from ~9km-14km and for most runners it’s ~90min+ time on trail. If you’re currently active and looking for a good time mixed with a bit of challenge, get a mate and do this together!
Black Course – For the experienced runners! Distances range from ~15km-25km These challenges can take a few hours! And training is key. You’ve gotta get in the training to enjoy these, so get your training mate and have some friendly accountability competition!
We provide course markings the whole way to help you stay on track! Flagging tape in trees and arrows guide you around the course so you can focus on your fitness and capturing the stunning scenery. We’ve got assistants at key intersections giving out truckloads of encouragement with high 5’s and Woohoo’s!!!
All courses see you starting and finishing at the same location. When you arrive at the finish (feeling like a champion), you’ll receive a hero’s welcome. You’re cheered in with funky entertainment, an awesome medal hung around your next, and served up The Magic PTS punch, refreshing fruit and your choice of food trucks.

Course Info
The third event in the series sees us heading over the iconic bridge over the stunning Bells Rapids, a popular insta spot! It has an equally special finish where you’ll gallop in the State Equestrian Centre with trumpets tooting you in! There’s also heaps of challenge, and packed with hill climbs that make your finish even more rewarding!
The Black course provides the most challenge, while the Blue course will still test your limits, and the Green is best for beginners with less technical trail.
We’ve got a professional team that works around the clock to make this the best way to get on the trails!
Not only that, but we’ve got an awesome community that make our events so special.
Make this your next fitness thing. Trails are fun and open to everyone with options to choose from. We colour code our courses, because no matter the distance it’s all a challenge!
And don’t worry, we care about your safety! We put flagging tape in trees, and arrows guide you around the course so you can focus on your fitness and capturing the stunning scenery. We’ve got assistants at key intersections to help you stay on track giving out high 5’s and Woohoo’s as encouragement! And we’ve got a professional aid team on standby if anything were to happen.
And when you arrive at the finish (like a champion), you’ll be cheered in with funky entertainment, someone will hang an awesome medal around your neck, and you’ll be served a delicious recovery drink and eat refreshing fruit as well as your choice of food trucks!

Check out the Google Map below to see where the Top Up Stops are located. What’s a Top Up Stop? Exactly what the name suggests – a place to top up water, electrolytes, and fruit. Of course, all participants can access water, PTS punch, and fruit when they cross the Finish Line. Don’t forget to carry your PTS collapsible silicone cup.

PTS Kids/Teens/Under 18 Runner Policy
We love to welcome the younger trail runners to our events – they may be a seasoned road runner, trail runner/hiker or they could be brand new to running/walking!
To ensure that all trail runners have a fun, safe time on the trails we do have a minimum age requirement for each of our Courses, and also a minimum experience requirement. All runners (regardless of age and distance) must carry 500mL water in a hydration system (use a water bottle, pack or belt) while on course.
Green Course – minimum age is 6 years old.
If you are under the age of 12 years old you must have your parent/guardian (a registered runner) walking/running beside you for the entirety of the Green Course.
Blue Course – minimum age is 12 years old.
If you are under 18 you must have completed three Green Course events prior to running a Blue course event.
If you are under 18 you must be accompanied by your parent/guardian (a registered runner) for your first time running the Blue Course.
Black Course – minimum age is 16 years old.
If you are under 18 you must have completed three Blue Course events prior to running a Black course event.
If you are under 18 you must be accompanied by your parent/guardian (a registered runner) for your first time running the Black Course.
Double Black Course – minimum age is 18 years old.
Collie Trail Fest & Pemby Trail Fest Night Races – minimum age is 10 years old.
If you are under 18 you must be accompanied by your parent/guardian (a registered runner) and stay together for the duration of the night race.
If your younger trail runner meets the minimum age and experience requirement for an event you are welcome to register them into the event. We do require the parent/guardian to email admin@perthtrailseries.com.au prior to event day to confirm their Kids/Teens/Under 18 event registration.
Please allow up to 72 hours when you get a Race Recap email. For the quickest notification go to Facebook
You should feel able to “jog” continuously on flat ground for the distance of event you are entering. Of course, these events aren’t flat! So, we do expect many people have to walk the steeper uphills and some of the steep downhills, too. Have a look at the Results page for the finish times in previous years to get a sense of the range of speed of previous entrants. At certain times, we may initiate a cut-offs for slower runners, and it will be announced beforehand. We also have a cut-off for our Bloated Goat event, and our ultra distance race.
Like shoes, this is also quite personal. You need to try out systems that include hand-held bottles, waist belts, and hydration backpacks with a bladder in them. Some people complain of sweaty hands or awkwardness holding a bottle, some find waist belts irritate their stomachs, some complain of hot backs and chafing with a pack (if it fits properly and is tightened right, it shouldn’t move and chafe). Ask around and test things out. You don’t want to find out at a 2 hour race that you hate what you’re using! There is no “right” answer for this one. Whatever you try, ensure it’s good quality. Many complaints come down to a person buying shonky equipment or not knowing how to fit it properly on their body.
We’re always looking for volunteers!

What happens next? We’ll send you a confirmation email reminding you to lock in the date. And then you get another email from us a few days before the race, with all the important info….exact role information / duties / what to wear etc…. We love the Woohoo Crew, and we love looking after you guys!
We highly encourage carpooling, and posting on our Facebook event page to sort a ride. We don’t provided a bus for any of the events due to minimal interest. Updates are always provided via the website (on each individual race page) and via email.
You must carry a container that holds at least 500 ml of fluid throughout the race. This is a minimum, though, and we strongly urge people to carry more than the minimum. Unless you are a highly trained athlete with much experience, you will not find 500 ml sufficient to get you from water-point to water-point on the course. In terms of non-mandatory equipment, you might consider the following: (a) trail-specific running shoes, (b) a cap to keep the sun off (and morning glare out of your eyes), (c) sunscreen and sunglasses, (d) lubricant on your chafey bits, (e) lubricant in your socks, (e) short gaiters to keep the rocks and sand out of your shoes, (f) GPS device to record your distance and time, (g) electrolytes, blister pad (don’t use plasters!), and some easily digested quick-burning food to get you through a few hours of running.
The refund policy is as follows. Entry fees are non-refundable for non-starters and non-finishers. Your entry is not transferable to any other person. If you provide written notification more than six weeks prior to the event date you are entitled to a 90% of entry fees. If you provide written notification more than two weeks prior to the event date you are entitled to a 60% of entry fees. No refund will be given after that point for any reason. No refund will be given for a transferred event credit. No refunds will be provided for merchandise purchases; merchandise will not be posted and will only be available for collection at the event hub.
This comes down to personal preference. The terrain for these events will not be muddy – it will be a mixture of dirt, sand, and clay-type surfaces as you see in all the photos on this website. Rocks and pea gravel are common in WA. Some people prefer the extra protection under the sole of the foot and at the front of the toe box that trail shoes often provide (if you are running on and around gum nuts and sharp rocks). Trail shoes often have more aggressive tread patterns with grippy bottoms. The more minimalist trail shoes are excellent at enhancing your proprioception (feeling of where your feet are in space). But it takes time and experience to get used to them.
