Directions to Event:
From Perth, travel southeast on Albany Highway past Armadale, turning right (south) onto Admiral Road, where it is signed. Do NOT turn into the Bungendore Park car park, which is located before Admiral Road. Travel downhill to the dam, which is at the end of the road. After passing through the white park gate, you will see the start/finish. Continue on to the car park slightly further on your right. If that's full, travel approximately 600 mtrs further (up a hill) to the other car parks.

Course Description

Bloated Goat: 30km +/-1600m

Little Fat Lamb: 20km: +/-1000m

Bleating Kid: 12km+/-650m

These hills will surprise you! It may shock some, and delight others! Either way, you won't forget it! You may even feel like that goat! Chewing up the elevation! For the rest of you, keep on going, there's more climbing to do!

Courses will be well flagged - and marshalled at a few key intersections. We will do our best to keep you on course, but it is your responsibility to keep aware of the flagging.

We've also added a BRAND NEW distance called the Bleating Kid! You'll pick this option, if you're not quite a Little Fat Lamb, and you'll pick Little Fat Lamb if you're not yet up to meet the Bloated Goat!

Aid Station

Foot Bath Stations: Four footbath stations will be found on course. We must use these to avoid spreading dieback. Each station will have a marshal to help you. You must STOP and STEP each foot into the solution. (Only the Bloated Goat runners will go through the footbath)

Qualification Standards: We do not require it at this point, but if you plan to enter, you should have completed a similar distance (and hilly) trail event in under 5hrs, have a fairly recent marathon time of under 4hrs, or have completed a fairly recent 20+km trail event within the timeframe allotted. You should also be capable of self sufficiency on the trails for the distance and terrain, taking weather into account.

Cut Off Times: Bloated Goat has an 5 and half hour cut-off time (12.40PM). You must be at the aid station 16 km point in 2.5 hours or you will not be allowed to continue (rarely does a runner speed up for the second half!).

Aid Station: The aid station is accessed for Bloated Goat Runners at 16km, and 26km. For Little Fat Lamb it's located at 15.5km. The Aid Station will stock water, carbohydrates, electrolytes (so, bring your reusable, collapsible cup!) and bananas.

Poles: No poles are allowed for this event.

Note: Disposable cups are NOT provided at our events. All racers are provided with their very own reusable silicone collapsable cup. Be sure to collect your cup with your bib if it's your first event. If you've lost your cup, let us know. 15 ltr water jugs are provided at the finish line, so have your cup handy!

1. Hydration: We recommend a bladder of at least 2 litres. Minimum requirement to be held for the duration of the event is 1ltr of water.

2. You must also wear your race bib at all times during the event.

3. This event requires "semi-self sufficiency". You are responsible for carrying enough water supply to safely complete the event.
